Our story

Chancery Pii was created in 2013, in partnership with the Law Society, specifically to provide sustainable professional indemnity insurance for 1–4 partner firms in England and Wales. Since its inception, Chancery Pii has grown its client base steadily and remains the only insurance provider devoted solely to helping new and established law firms with 1–4 partners.

Our robust underwriting strategy is underpinned by our online quoting platform, in which we have continued to invest, which ensures a quick and easy application process.

We provide direct access to an exclusive panel of A+ rated insurers, comprising Allianz and Aspen Syndicate 4711. Because we do not accept applications from brokers, our clients do not pay broker commissions or fees – often a significant part of the overall cost of professional indemnity insurance – and benefit from competitive pricing as a result.

Our straightforward underwriting approach and client-first service allow us to provide greater value to our clients and to build strong, long-lasting relationships.

Whilst other insurers come and go, Chancery Pii provides reliable, long-term commitment - we are dedicated to building long-lasting relationships with our clients.

Testimonials

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

My firm was a ‘new start’ opening on the 1 December 2013 and professional indemnity insurance was a key issue. I heard about Chancery Pii through personal recommendation and the regular Law Society ‘Professional Update’ emails. My customer experience was excellent. From the first phone call the team were helpful and responsive and assisted me in dealing with the application process – particularly as a new firm. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism, speed, quality and humour of the team at Chancery Pii. The company also delivered on that which was most important for my firm – a wholly appropriate quotation for professional indemnity insurance.

This is a very positive demonstration of the support from The Law Society for the profession in these difficult days of economic instability combined with fundamental legislative changes in the provision of legal services.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Your support has been excellent. Knowing you were there, still had the records, and were able to step forward. It made me feel supported, and not isolated. So if anyone asks for feedback do kindly pass it on.
